Slot-A Remixes 13 Classic and Current Tracks For New ‘Shades & Flavors’ EP

In somewhat of a surprise, yesterday Chicago producer, and DJ, Slot-A released his latest remix project “Shades & Flavors.” The tape showcases Slot‘s impeccable beat-making skills as he takes some of today’s hottest tracks like Kid Ink‘s ‘Show Me‘ and Lupe‘s ‘Next To It‘ smash, and puts his own “flavor” on em. The Chicago DJ also travels back in time on this project to remix Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, and even Marvin Gaye‘s ‘Sexual Healing classic; the twist he gives this song, and the throwback he incorporates to do it, at the 2:25 mark is sure to get your head nodding, if it isn’t already. Slot-A has always been known to make quality tracks, he’s produced for the like of Add-2, Neak, Maine, L.E.P, & more. The creativity this project has is remarkable; Slot pushed music to the limit with this tape and challenges listeners to step outside of what they’re used to hearing or may have thought they liked. He mellows out some fast songs and turns up a few ballads without ruining them and instead creates something that is of equal or greater quality. Slot gives fans the option to name your price to enjoy his latest release and trust me, whatever you decide to pay, you wont be disappointed. ‘Shades & Flavors‘ also features Slot-A‘s previously released remix of Junior M.A.F.I.A‘s ‘Get Money‘ classic, and is the first of a 3 part series from the producer/DJ. Check out the tracklist below and download the 13-track project here and get to vibin’. Album artwork cred goes to Designer/Illustrator Tessa Gillett, you can see more of her work @tessaadai on instagram.
